One of Cornwall’s premier organisations is currently seeking an enthusiastic, process driven Procurement Lead to drive forward the commercial buying function of the business.
They are seeking a results-focused manager who will proactively lead the procurement function, liaising with key stakeholders to realise the business goals. A clear understanding of supplier economics and an inquisitive nature to identify and track market opportunities is essential.
The organisation is very much a people business and they want you to be close to the action so understanding the needs of customers and the internal team is essential to sourcing the right products that enable that strategy.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of a multi-functional business and ideally come from a retail, food or drink background.

EXPERIENCE:

• CIPS/CPSM qualified
• 5+ years of experience in a procurement lead/management role with sourcing, procurement or business systems and operations
• Proven track record in delivering results and maximising opportunities with strategic supply partners
• Fully competent in Microsoft Office suite, with particular attention to excel
• Experience of procurement portals - Access Procurement system ProcureWizard desirable but not essential.
• Experience in the FMCG, retail, food or drink sector would be an advantage
