Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager - Process Innovation to lead and oversee our end-to-end Category Management and Supplier Relationship Management process. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, enriching, and governing various procurement processes, tools, and training materials. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in Category Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Continuous Improvement (CI), and technology innovation. This role will report to the Associate Director of S2C and Digital Technology.
In collaboration with other Procurement leaders and the Procurement Manager - Digital Enablement, the Procurement Manager - Process Innovation will identify opportunities and address gaps in processes, programs, and technologies, and either leads or contributes to implementation projects. The role will act as the process owner for Category Management and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) processes with special focus on Value delivery and on process effectiveness, enrichment, and governance.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Lead the design, continuous improvement, and support of the end-to-end Category Management and Supplier Relationship Management processes, including driving process excellence in these areas.
- Develop and maintain category strategy processes, tools, templates, and training materials.
- Develop new innovative tools and processes to enable breakthrough strategies.
- Drive innovation in continuous improvement and technology by evaluating and deciding on process visions, tech evaluations, and implementations.
- Handle sourcing execution processes, tools, templates, and training.
- Develop and implement supplier relationship management processes, tools, templates, and training, including improvement projects.
- Lead all aspects of supplier segmentation processes, including vision, and collaborate with Procurement Manager - Digital Enablement to evaluate technology, decision-making, implementation, and governance of solutions.
- Lead Supplier Performance Management processes, and collaborate with Procurement Manager - Digital Enablement to evaluate technology, decision-making, implementation, and governance of solutions.
- Develop and implement SRM “Lite” for sites and non-procurement functions to futher BD Excellence and expand value achievement across BD.
- Manage bi-weekly Procurement Process Excellence Council meetings that focus on category management, SRM, and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the deployment of metrics, processes, and governance for GBS Source to Pay.
- Govern procurement information processes, including segmented supplier data, How-to-Buy Guides, ProcureOne website, Category Taxonomy, GP Approvers List, and other ad hoc areas as needed.
- Own the governance of the BD Global Purchasing Policy, including audit support.
