Job Title: Procurement Sourcing ManagerDepartment: Supply Chain / ProcurementReports To: Director of Supply Chain / VP of ProcurementPosition Type: Full-Time

Job SummaryThe Procurement Sourcing Manager drives the strategic selection, evaluation, and management of suppliers to ensure the continuous flow of goods for our wholesale distribution operations. This role focuses on optimizing total landed cost, mitigating supply chain risks, and maximizing inventory availability. You will lead supplier negotiations, execute high-value contracts, and collaborate with logistics, warehouse, and sales departments to keep our distribution network agile and highly profitable.


Core Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sourcing & Supplier ManagementSupplier Selection: Identify, audit, and onboard domestic and international manufacturers and vendors that meet strict quality, capacity, and cost guidelines.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain strategic relationships with tier-1 vendors while evaluating performance using data-driven scorecards and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Risk Mitigation: Develop alternative sourcing channels and contingency plans to protect the distribution network from supply chain disruptions and logistics bottlenecks.


  • Contract Negotiation & Cost OptimizationCommercial Negotiation: Lead RFP/RFQ processes and structure high-volume purchasing agreements to secure competitive pricing, payment terms, and rebates.
  • TCO Management: Conduct comprehensive cost analyses, assessing the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and landed costs (including freight, customs, and duties).
  • Value Creation: Partner with inventory and logistics planners to implement cost-saving procurement strategies like volume brackets and vendor-managed inventory (VMI).


  • Cross-Functional Operations & ComplianceInventory Alignment: Collaborate with forecasting and inventory teams to prevent stockouts while optimizing stock turns and preventing dead inventory.
  • System Management: Utilize ERP and MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor) to manage purchasing data, lead times, and vendor catalog data.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all sourcing activities adhere to legal, safety, data privacy, and ethical compliance standards.



  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Purchase Price Variance (PPV) and annual cost-savings targets
  • Supplier On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery and quality acceptance rates
  • Supplier lead-time reduction and inventory turnover optimization



Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience & EducationEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of strategic sourcing or procurement experience, ideally within a wholesale distribution, B2B product, or third-party logistics (3PL) environment.
  • Certifications (Preferred): Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).


  • Technical SkillsDeep proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and material requirements planning (MRP) tools.
  • Strong command of data analysis tools (Advanced Excel, Power BI, or Tableau) to analyze massive spending datasets.
  • Thorough understanding of global logistics, commercial legal terms (Incoterms), and contract drafting.


  • Soft SkillsExceptional negotiation tactics and high emotional intelligence to build strong vendor alliances.
  • Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills to present cost-benefit strategies to executive leadership.
