Description

We are looking for a talented and experienced Procurement Manager based in our Milton, ON location to join the Sourcing and Procurement team.

WHO WE ARE

We are the world leader in stone wool solutions. Founded in 1937 in Denmark, we transform volcanic rock into safe, sustainable products that help people and communities thrive. We are a global company with more than 12,000 employees, located in 40+ countries with 51 manufacturing facilities… all focused on one common purpose – to release the natural power of stone to enrich modern living.
Sustainability is central to our business strategy. ROCKWOOL was one of the first companies to commit to actively contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) framework and are actively committed to 11 SDGs, including SDG 14, Life Below Water. Through our partnership with the One Ocean Foundation and in connection with our sponsorship of the Denmark SailGP team, we will help raise awareness around ocean health challenges in an effort to accelerate solutions to protect it.

As a key player in our dynamic team, you will lead the charge in developing and executing sourcing strategies for assigned categories, ensuring optimal cost savings and supplier performance. Your exceptional negotiation skills will be put to the test as you build and maintain robust relationships with suppliers, securing advantageous contracts. We expect you to bring your A-game in project management, driving cost optimization initiatives and collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional teams. Your analytical mindset will be crucial for market analysis and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. If you’re a proactive professional with a proven track record in procurement, ready to make a significant impact in a thriving organization, we want to hear from you. Each day brings new challenges and opportunities, but a typical day would entail:

  • Identifying potential new sources of supply for cost savings, operations efficiency, and or business continuity planning.
  • Cultivate strong supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and terms for optimal value.
  • Oversee performance of inbound logistics and relationships with material supplier partners.
  • Current and future market information on applicable commodities, Industry indexes, forecasts, and major material cost drivers.
  • Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements within procurement.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with overall business objectives.
  • Risk Management: Assess and manage potential risks in the supply chain to ensure continuity.
  • Compliance: Ensure procurement processes adhere to regulations and company policies.
  • Above all, taking pride in relationship building to set our team and Rockwool up for continued success
