POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Procurement Manager provides technical and commercial leadership and support to the Procurement team. In this role, the Procurement Manager is responsible for leading department personnel and initiatives, developing workflows, and ensuring projects meets their procurement objectives.
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
· 7+ Years Experience
· Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent
· Excellent facilitation, communication, and analytical skills – written and verbal
· High level of personal integrity
· Strong relationship capabilities
· Proficient in both written and spoken English
· Manages all purchasing activities and establishes strategic purchasing processes and procedures
· Develop and manage a team of Buyers, Expeditors, and other procurement personnel to support company project workload, department initiatives, and growth
· Accountable for planning and execution of supply chain activities to successfully meet or exceed department and project schedules
· Definition and implementation of supply chain roles, tools, processes, written procedures, deliverables, and personnel requirements to support procurement efforts
· Evaluates and analyzes purchasing trend and price trend to identify forecasting demand and minimize purchasing costs
· Input to support creation and estimation of Project AFE budgets, proposals, and schedules
· Preparing and communicating status reports for supplier qualifications, project deliverables, and other department initiatives
· Develop and lead supplier engagement activities, promoting supplier awareness of company brand, culture, services, competencies, experience, and forecasting
· Maintains relationship with vendors or suppliers and negotiates contracts for purchases
· Supplier performance measurement and oversight
· Purchases materials at the most favorable terms for the company by preparing Supplier Qualifications, Bid Lists, Requests for Quotation, Bid Evaluations, Purchase Recommendations, and Purchase Orders
· Facilitate technical or commercial clarifications, negotiate terms, coordinate source inspection, and track purchases with suppliers
· Ensure all changes to order cost and/or schedule are clearly communicated
· Works autonomously
