You will evaluate supply chain opportunities, establish sourcing strategies, lead tenders, negotiate with vendors, and manage contracts. You will have an instrumental role in the realization of large offshore wind farms and the decarbonization of the energy sector. Specific activities and responsibilities will include: Designing, planning, and executing procurement and/or supply chain strategies. Drafting and negotiating contracts for offshore wind supply, construction, and/or service, contracts. Advising clients on a variety of commercial and contractual matters related to the delivery of their offshore wind farms. Managing your own schedule, travel, and reporting of time, expenses, and other managerial items for the successful operation of JUMBO’s consulting business. While not assigned to a client project, you will support the development of JUMBO digital assets and support sales opportunities. On a day-to-day basis through the procurement process for our clients, you will: Demonstrate knowledge leadership of the procurement process and your specific category(ies) of expertise. Develop sourcing strategies based upon JUMBO’s own market intelligence and incorporating the demand particularities of the client. Identify all value levers and their relationship within the scope of the procurement and set the tender strategy according to a well-defined award criterion. Lead and perform the complete procurement process including issuing requests for information, requests for proposals and tenders, evaluating proposals, negotiating with vendors, and recommending the award of and finalising contracts. Diligintely prepare for negotiations, including rehearsals, and lead the negotiation process on behalf of the client to achieve maximum value for the client. Lead procurement processes for our clients in compliance with their governance and approval procedures. Secure maximum value for our clients in terms of quality, price and schedule while minimizing risks. Coordinate the flow of information internally and externally keeping all stakeholders informed on progress. Actively participate in vendor relationship management, including general communications and regular meetings, maintaining and improving vendor and market knowledge. Qualifications A desire to decarbonize the energy sector by supporting the development of large-scale renewable energy projects. Experience with leading corporate procurement processes ideally for large scale scopes, preference is given for experience in the offshore wind or energy sector. Strong interpersonal, organizational, negotiation, and communication skills. A structured and methodical way of working. Experience managing projects and leading scopes of work. Comfort with working independently and with ambiguity of instruction. Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities and take initiative.
