Description

Develop and implement category and sourcing strategies to deliver measurable cost savings, quality improvements and security of supply.
Identify, evaluate and develop UK and international suppliers, leading commercial negotiations and contracting to secure competitive terms, service levels and continuous improvement.
Analyse market intelligence, pricing and total cost of ownership to identify cost-reduction opportunities without compromising quality or service.
Assess and mitigate supply-chain risks, including supplier disruption, quality issues, financial exposure and geopolitical factors, developing appropriate contingency plans.
Work collaboratively with Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain and Finance to align procurement activity with business priorities, new product development and operational requirements.
Ensure procurement activity complies with relevant legislation, ethical standards and Group policies, maintaining transparent and effective supplier relationships.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators, including cost savings, supplier performance, on-time delivery and supply-chain risk, providing clear reports and recommendations to senior management.
Support the wider Westland Procurement Team in developing the Group’s supply base, product offering and new commercial opportunities.
