Description

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Procurement Multi-Family Manager to support the Vertical Lift Attack team in Mesa, AZ, Berkeley or Saint Charles, MO, Charleston, SC, Huntington Beach, CA, Philadelphia or Ridley Park, PA, or Renton, WA!

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • More than 5 years of experience with Supplier Management or Procurement practices and processes
  • More than 5 years of experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams
  • More than 5 years of experience working across multiple programs and locations
  • More than 5 years of experience in negotiating contracts or managing supplier performance
  • More than 5 years of experience with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • More than 5 years of experience with proposal management or contract exposure with the US Department of Defense
  • More than 3 years of experience in root cause analysis and corrective action
  • More than 3 years of experience interpreting and/or enforcing contract terms and conditions
Responsibilities
  • Acts as facilitator for major work capture events and proposal management
  • Manages program material EAC (expected, act, complete)
  • Manages employees from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processes and supplier diversity
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees
