Job Description
The Project:
HumeLink East involves the expansion of the existing Bannaby 500 kV substation, along with the design and construction of 230km of new 500 kV double circuit transmission line. This new transmission line will connect the Bannaby 500 kV substation at the Wondalga interface point with HumeLink West.
The Role:
As the Procurement Officer or Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing procurement policies to ensure compliance with regulations, sourcing and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, reviewing purchase orders, and maintaining accurate records of procurement activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Lead Tenders and evaluate offers from suppliers/subcontractors for Civil Fit Out and TBM ancillaries
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery time.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure the best value for the company.
- Review the purchase orders carefully to ensure that all the information provided is accurate and complete.
- Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and contracts.
- Help Site teams develop Scope of Works and Bill of Quantities.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field).
- Prior experience in procurement/purchasing for large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Experience with sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships.
- Well-developed MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Word and Excel) and online tendering tools.
