We are recruiting to fill the position below:

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • A Procurement Officer is a professional responsible for managing the procurement process within an organization, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services needed for operations, essentially overseeing the entire purchasing and supply chain to meet company requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Applicant must possess a B.Sc or HND in purchasing and Supply and any other related courses
  • Applicant must have at least two years of experience in purchasing and supply in the related industry.
Responsibilities
  • Supplier sourcing: Identifying and evaluating potential vendors to find the best quality products at the most competitive prices.
  • Contract negotiation: Negotiating terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
  • Purchase order management: Creating and processing purchase orders to acquire necessary goods and services.
  • Quality control: Inspecting deliveries to ensure quality standards are met
  • Compliance management: Adhering to company procurement policies and regulations
  • Inventory control: Monitoring stock levels and ensuring adequate inventory is maintained to meet operational needs.
  • Cost analysis: Evaluating supplier pricing and identifying opportunities for cost reduction
  • Market research: Keeping updated on market trends and supplier capabilities
  • Relationship management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
