Description

TRUST IN MOTION.

We are currently seeking a Procurement Officer that will be directly reporting to the Procurement Manager within the Mindyarra Maintenance Centre based in Dubbo. The role acts as Material Activation Coordinator and is responsible for ensuring that CAF NSW production site is supplied with finishing and systems purchasing parts at the correct time, configuration and quantity required to support manufacturing schedule requirements.
A key requirement is to identify and manage supplier’s limitations and dependencies resultant from but not limited to engineering changes, BOM inaccuracies, free issue parts and NCRs.

Responsibilities
  • Making sure that the material arrives on time and in full, and if this is not possible, make sure that all mitigation actions are taken to minimize the impact of the delay in the Manufacturing Program.
  • Constant communication with suppliers (video-meetings, on-site meetings) to schedule, arrange and assure short, medium and long term supply of the material. Visit vendors (when required) to develop a relationship with them, and to verify the advance of the manufacturing process to deliver the material in the requested date, and in full quantity.
  • Provide reliable, analysed and accurate delivery dates to the project team, even if these dates don´t meet the ideal date requirement.
  • Make sure that CAF provided raw material is available at the vendors at the requirement moment.
  • Anticipate any possible risky situations that may impact on the material supply (allocation, capacity limitations, bottle necks from the supplier side)
  • Proactively participate in multidisciplinary teams (manufacturing, quality, engineering) to build cars on time, in cost and in quality.
  • Maintain department KPIs
