Job Description: Construction Materials Procurement & Supplier Relationship Manager

Key Responsibilities – Materials Procurement

• Develop and execute procurement plans based on project timelines and material requirements
• Source and negotiate with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality standards
• Manage purchase orders, delivery schedules, and inventory levels to avoid project delays
• Monitor market trends and material availability to optimize procurement strategies
• Ensure compliance with company policies and contractual terms during procurement processes

Key Responsibilities – Supplier Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors
• Conduct regular supplier evaluations to assess performance, reliability, and quality
• Resolve supply chain issues such as delays, defects, or disputes in a timely and professional manner
• Collaborate with suppliers to improve product offerings and service levels
• Identify and onboard new suppliers to diversify and strengthen the supply base

Reporting & Coordination

• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost analysis
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and finance teams to align procurement with project goals
• Prepare regular reports on procurement status, cost savings, and supplier KPIs

Qualifications & Skills (Optional)

• Proven experience in procurement or supply chain within the construction industry
• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with construction materials and technical specifications
• Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software
