JOB OVERVIEW:

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to oversee our company’s purchasing activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement processes and procedures, as well as excellent negotiation and communication skills. The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services, negotiating contracts, and maintaining supplier relationships while ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery of goods and services.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 3-6years of experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and procedures
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Knowledge of legal and ethical standards related to procurement
• Fluency in English is a must, Arabic is a plus

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the company’s objectives
• Source and purchase goods and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality
• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve the best possible prices and terms
• Maintain supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and stay updated on new products and services
• Prepare and maintain procurement documents, including purchase orders, contracts, and vendor agreements
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely procurement of items as needed
• Collaborate with other departments to understand their procurement needs and provide assistance in sourcing and purchasing
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as legal and ethical standards
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-saving initiatives
• Keep accurate records of all procurement activities and maintain a database of suppliers
