Procurement Officer Position in WA Government
Your new organisation
This WA Government Organisation are seeking a Procurement Officer to join their team. Commencing on a 6-month temporary basis, this role is available for an immediate start and has a view to permanency in the future.
Your new role
In this position, you will play a crucial role in optimising our procurement processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services. Your analytical skills and strategic thinking will contribute to our overall success.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Create procurement plans to meet business schedules
  • Delegation of procurement workloads across the team
  • Management of RFQs and RFTs for medium-high risk contracts
  • Provide input into tender evaluations
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Proven experience in procurement planning
  • High level organisation and time management
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using procurement software
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices
