Description
As a Procurement Officer I, you will monitor and manage various aspects of procurement needs, which may include recurring, high-volume, design services, or construction procurements required to maintain the Port of Seattle’s facilities and properties. You will process contract assignments, review technical specifications/requirements and transactions for complete and accurate information, and ensure compliance with State and Federal law as well as Port policies and procedures under the direction of higher-level Procurement Officers. You will create purchase orders under the direction of higher-level Procurement Officers You will assist in managing and maintaining procurement documents and files. You will troubleshoot budget codes, payments, and payment exceptions. You will assist Procurement Officers in procurement activities and perform system and database maintenance across multiple financial and contract web-based systems. You will act as a liaison between departments and contractors/consultants to assist in administering and amending procurement actions, monitoring vendor performance and customer satisfaction . You will assist higher-level Procurement Officers in the development of solicitation and contractual documents. Experienced – You have three (3) months of general administrative work experience in support of procurement, contract development, or contract/grant administration. Desired – We hope you have one (1) year of experience supporting procurement, contract development, or contract/grant administration.
