To assist in the delivery & management of the Trust’s Procurement Strategy.
Ensuring the Trust’s contract portfolio is maintained. Provide an effective and professional service for procurement projects, delivering ongoing cost efficiencies & benefits to the Trust. Achieve value for money in all procurement activities, ensuring compliance with all statutory legislation, Trust Standing Orders & Standing Financial Instructions and Departmental policies & procedures.

The Procurement & Supplies Dept. are looking to appoint a Procurement Officer to join their procurement team based at University Hospitals, Coventry.
The successful applicant will have pervious experience of working in a Procurement team. Ideally applicants will have some knowledge of public sector procurement regulations and experience in administering Public Contract Regulations 2015 tenders.
Ideally you will be educated to degree level, qualified or studying towards CIPS level 4 and possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Duties will primarily involve assisting the Head of Procurement in delivery of the Trust’s Procurement Strategy. You will also be required to provide an effective and professional service when delivering procurement projects, achieve cost efficiency benefits to the Trust and demonstrate value for money in all procurement activities whilst maintaining compliance with all statutory legislation, Trust Standing Orders and Standing Financial Instructions.
Responsibilities will also include identifying opportunities for standardisation/rationalisation of product usage across the Trust and evaluating supply chain activities, ensuring the most cost effective source of supply.
