Main responsibility:
The main responsibility of this role is to lead and manage procurement activities related to new product development (NPD) projects, ensuring the successful sourcing of direct materials and managing supplier selection, cost-saving initiatives, and risk mitigation in collaboration with the project team. The individual will also drive cost reduction, maintain quality standards, and ensure project KPIs such as price, timing, and reliability of supply are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive re-/in-/out-source, cost out projects in liaison with project team (R&D, Category Management, Quality, Production etc.
  • Meet relevant standards for price, quality, timing and reliability of supply (Project Management).
  • Plan, direct and track purchasing activities in relation to new product development (NPD projects), such that direct materials (parts).
  • Hold commercial responsibility for own product development projects (direct material and investments in tools).
  • Plan all procurement activities in relation to own projects and take part of the collaborative planning session with the project core team (senior project management, technical project lead, quality project lead, production project lead).
  • Identify the potential risks and take the necessary actions to reach the project KPIs (saving/machine price; time; cost).
  • Manage supplier selection in liaison with respective category managers, R&D, quality and production.
  • Manage and execute RFQ process including contract award in liaison with respective category managers.
  • Present the statuses to Steering Committee and provide suggestions in case of barriers.
  • Close communication with Suppliers and Project team to create transparency within the projects.

Qualifications & skills:
Master/bachelor’s in business and/or Engineering.
5 years of proven track record with project management and/or direct material sourcing.
Master user in Microsoft software’s (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, MSP etc.).
SAP knowledge is an advantage
Analytical skillset, systematic thinking.
Capability of multitasking and handling a complex working environment.
Ability to predict results and mitigate on time.
Outstanding communication skills.
Essential to feel ownership on projects.
Team player driving a solid own agenda.
Self-confident and persistent – capable of making decisions and work in teams as much as working individually.
Must have:
Advanced English.
