Description

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to support CIPS globally in improving procurement processes, value received from its suppliers and engagement with the internal stakeholder community.
Working with departments and the Head of Procurement to deliver effective procurement solutions for projects and on-going requirements whilst managing risks to an appropriate level.

Responsibilities
  • Lead category and project related procurement activity through market analysis, tenders, contract negotiations, implementation, and on-going relationship management, to deliver best value to CIPS.
  • Provide guidance to stakeholders on end-to-end procurement processes, to enable best practice procurement across CIPS.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements and value-add, in processes, procedures and during procurement activities, including when managing supplier relationships and negotiating commercial terms. Where agreed, work to deliver the benefits.
  • Identify and mitigate procurement, supplier and supply chain risks to CIPS.
  • Maintain the Contract Register, ensuring it is up-to-date and accurate and there are timely notifications to the business to enable necessary procurement activity to be carried out.
  • Ensure necessary systems and admin activities are carried out accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Support implementation of a new Finance and Procurement system.
  • Where priorities mean it is necessary, support others within the team to deliver on our objectives.
