PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST

Location - Coventry (Hybrid options)
Full Time - 40 hours
£25.00 per hour - Inside IR35 - Umbrella Rate
10 Month Contract
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process, ensuring that our organisation acquires high-quality goods and services at competitive prices. This position requires a strong understanding of supply chain management and logistics, along with the ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers.
The main purpose of this role will be to support pre-production builds by obtaining and maintaining delivery promises from external supplier. Ensuring delivery promises meet build requirements / escalating issues. Parts are owned from dispatch to receipt in storage locations and building supplier relationships is an integral part of the role while ensuring all NRP (Non Released Parts) are delivered on time.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in procurement or supply chain management
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers.
  • Familiarity with procurement systems
  • Knowledge of logistics processes and supply chain dynamics is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in managing contracts and documentation.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively across departments.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
