PROCUREMENT CONTRACT AND VENDOR MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Location: Midtown, NYC
Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days remote
Rate: $50–$55 per hour
Duration: 6+ month contract to start, with strong potential for extension or full-time conversion

OVERVIEW:

A global investment bank is seeking a Procurement Vendor Management/Contract Specialist to join its newly established Procurement–Vendor Management Department. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity reporting directly to the firm’s Procurement Manager and working closely with a BPO service provider that supports key spend categories, including Technology, Facilities, Consulting, and Training (with their respective subcategories).
The ideal candidate will bring strong professionalism, excellent technical acumen, and outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Success in this role requires effective relationship management, adaptability in a fast-paced and intellectually dynamic environment, and the ability to meet deadlines while managing shifting priorities both independently and collaboratively. While prior experience in financial services is preferred, procurement professionals from other industries are also welcome to apply.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience across the full Source-to-Pay lifecycle
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in contract negotiation and vendor management
  • Familiarity with Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) principles and best practices
  • Demonstrated expertise in negotiating and managing a range of agreement types:
  • License Agreements
  • Equipment Lease Agreements
  • Consulting Agreements
  • Subscription Agreements
  • Service Level Agreements
  • Strong background in vendor performance management, regulatory reporting, and contract lifecycle governance
  • Excellent tactical execution and logistical coordination skills
  • Exceptional communication skills across all organizational levels, including executive leadership
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and outcome-driven
  • Strong sense of ethics and professional integrity
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis
