SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Proven Procurement experience, ideally in the manufacturing industry
  • Experience negotiating with suppliers to drive efficiencies
  • A tertiary qualification in Commerce, Supply Chain or Business
  • Solid computer skills – SAP/ Ariba would be a bonus

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Procurement Specialist who is passionate about helping customers succeed for a 12-month term. As a member of our team, you’ll have the ownership and support you need to succeed, both from your leaders and your colleagues
The role operates under a matrix structure combining category and SBU alignments, and is responsible for driving the raw materials and NPD agenda across the Coatings SBUs, sourcing new materials both locally and overseas, tackling supply and quality issues with urgency and challenging both internal stakeholders and suppliers to review specifications and opportunities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing the supplier relationships to ensure we get the best support, pricing and service levels from our suppliers
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders across the business
  • Developing and executing sourcing strategies
  • Fielding queries from internal teams regarding your category
  • Understanding the impact of global supply chains on your projects and timelines
