Role: Procurement Specialist – Excellence S2P & Assistant SPM Location: Pune, India JOB PURPOSE: The Procurement Strategy, Insights & Excellence team (SI&E) powers the transformation of the Magnum Ice Cream Procurement through 4 key pillars by Driving the long-term global procurement strategy, annual business planning, and Procurement performance management. Leveraging advanced analytics to deliver actionable insights. Upskilling People to best-in-class digitally savvy procurement experts (Sourcing, Nego, Comm., Culture, Leadership development…) Implement Governance models with optimized processes for value delivery, compliance and operational excellence, integrating Sustainability and Responsible Sourcing principles to embed sustainability and compliance in procurement excellence. By fostering innovation, sustainability, digital transformation, data-driven decision-making, agility and best practices, this Team ensures procurement operates as a key enabler of value creation and competitive advantage for the business The Procurement Specialist – Excellence S2P & Assistant SPM is a key contributor to the 1st and the 4th pillar of the SI&E Team, combining two critical activities: Assistant to the Strategy Program Manager and Source to Pay (S2C + P2P) Excellence. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assistant to Strategy Program Manager (~50%) Global Procurement Strategy Governance & Program Cadence Support core governance routines for Global Procurement Strategy, ensuring timely updates, smooth coordination between pillar owners/champions, and continuous momentum across global Procurement (newsletters, videos, and monthly connects). Maintain operational rhythm and accountability, ensuring actions, owners, and follow‑ups are clearly tracked and executed. 2.Procurement Leadership Meeting Preparation Prepare high‑quality meeting agenda (Procurement Leadership Team performance reviews, Procurement Leadership Team strategic meetings, and global townhalls), delivering clear storylines, accurate data, and on‑time pre‑reads that enable decision-making. Coordinate stakeholders and inputs to ensure leaders receive integrated, timely, and business‑relevant information. Help coordinate logistics for Face-to-Face Procurement Leadership Team meetings (3x/year), working with local committees to ensure seamless execution and a strong leader experience. Manage agenda development and session flows, enhancing meeting effectiveness. Price Forecasting and Productivity Support Together with finance, support quarterly forecast cycles by managing templates, being single point of contact from global procurement perspective. Contribute to improve productivity reporting discipline by tracking updates, spotting inconsistencies, and ensuring complete, timely submissions. 4.Negotiation Calendar & Sourcing Cadence Maintain the Direct & Indirect Negotiation Calendar and running Procurement LT negotiation boards, ensuring visibility, discipline, and readiness for negotiations across teams. Enable consistent cadence management, improving planning and cross‑functional alignment. Procurement Excellence ( ~50%) 1. Procurement Process Governance & Compliance Support the implementation and maintenance of Procurement Policies, SOPs, RACIs, and Working Instructions to ensure consistency and compliance. Maintain Schedule of Authorities (SOAs) in alignment with CPO, SI&E Director and key stakeholders, and contribute to enforcement. Monitor adherence to external regulations and internal policies, mitigating risks through proactive governance. 2. Source-to-Pay (S2P) Architecture & Process Optimization Support the ‘Build and Deploy’ of Source to Contract (S2C) and Procure to Pay (P2P) future architectures, and then contribute to smooth deployment, training and adoption. Act as the link between Procurement Teams, System Users, and the Source to Pay (S2P) GPO Team, supporting seamless integration and operational efficiency. Carry-out process mapping and support initiatives to streamline procurement workflows, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs. 3. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Central Categories, Regional Procurement Operations, and GBS Team to support procurement excellence. Develop RACIs and Working Instructions to ensure smooth collaboration between scattered & cross-functional teams, and flawless execution of tasks and projects. Collaborate with the Capabilities Team to integrate best sourcing practices, Policies, Working Instructions and process improvements into the Capabilities & Training Programs. Collaborate with the Insights, Digitalization, and Data Analytics Team to enhance Procurement Team effectiveness and efficiency through data-driven insights, automation, and predictive analytics, reinforcing traceability and compliance across all procurement activities. Act as a key advisor on procurement governance, supporting leadership in decision-making and policy enforcement. 4. Maintain Dashboards to Monitor Compliance Risks Spend covered by signed contracts to ensure financial control and mitigate sourcing risks. Number of signed specifications to track alignment with supplier agreements. Reports on Policy adherence to evaluate compliance with procurement guidelines. On-time payment performance to strengthen supplier relationships and financial integrity. Overall P2P process performance to monitor efficiency, accuracy, and operational effectiveness. EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement with hands-on involvement in S2P Processes, Policies and Systems, preferrably in the FMCG sector. Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in procurement software and tools. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in procurement.
