The patient is at the forefront of all we do and our people have a true purpose when they come to work each day.   About the role  We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Supply Chain team as a Procurement Specialist under commercials & contract Management function. The Procurement Specialist role is to implement procurement strategies linked to long term business objectives.    The role is exciting and varied and includes commercials and contracts management, managing cost reduction projects and working collaboratively with key local and global suppliers to add value to the entire supply chain. The key focus initially for this role will be working directly with the business group and supply chain team and is responsible for maintaining uninterrupted supply of materials and Services to various business groups.    Key Responsibilities and Outcomes  Commercials and Contracts Management of Direct and Indirect procurement.  Driving efficiencies to ensure contracts remain financially viable and delivered on budget  Supporting the business functions by conducting analysis of commercial opportunities  Supporting the Procurement Manager in solving commercial issues that may arise.  Category knowledge, price negotiations, contracts, project management.  Identify internal and external cost drivers to understand our cost structure and leverage strategies where appropriate  Work with key suppliers on new and existing business to deliver productivity gains    Skills and Experience  Relevant tertiary qualification, Engineering preferred  Procurement experience, ideally within the medical device or high-tech design/ manufacturing environments   Knowledge in a variety of procurement categories Electronic & Electromechanical preferable  Advanced negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management abilities  Excellent written and verbal communication skills  Sound project management skills and ability to think creatively and strategically  Global commercial awareness  Ability to identify issues and areas for improvement through analysis  Exposure and conceptual understanding of contract law and pricing  Strong commercial acumen and business understanding  Ability to manage both internal and customer relationships  Team orientated, with strong relationship and interpersonal skills     Company and Culture  This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys seeing results from their efforts and who gains satisfaction from being part of an open and friendly team environment producing innovative medical devices that make a difference to people's lives.    Our company recognises that innovation is a key ingredient to sustained growth and profitability.  You will reap the rewards of working for an organisation that is focused on growing internationally and acknowledges their people through career opportunities and a great working environment.    Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Limited is a thriving, cutting-edge medical device company with a wide and growing range of highly innovative healthcare products.  We have manufacturing facilities in New Zealand and Mexico, and sales offices and distributors operating in 120 countries globally.   If this sounds like the role for you - Apply now!
