Responsibilities

We’re seeking a hands-on, commercially minded Procurement Specialist to build and lead a new procurement function within our aged care team. This high-impact role will focus on streamlining a large supplier base, establishing a preferred provider list, and embedding consistent, value-driven procurement practices. You’ll combine strategic thinking with practical execution to drive quality, compliance, and operational efficiency across the organisation.
This is a 3-month fixed term contract.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implement an existing supplier evaluation model and streamline provider lists
  • Establish and govern a preferred supplier framework for client services
  • Develop and embed procurement policies, templates, and workflows
  • Lead sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, and contract award processes
  • Maintain a contracts register and oversee contract management
  • Deliver procurement training and tools to internal teams
  • Collaborate with care, commercial, and client services teams to align priorities
  • Ensure compliance with aged care regulations and internal standards
  • Identify cost savings, supplier improvements, and process efficiencies
  • Manage procurement risks and ensure transparency and probity
