As a Procurement Specialist, you will be pivotal in sourcing and acquiring all necessary materials, hardware, tooling, and equipment for our projects. Your role will involve ensuring timely procurement, maintaining documentation accuracy, and collaborating closely with our Production and Quality Assurance teams. Key Responsibilities: Procure materials and hardware tailored to each project's requirements to prevent project delays. Coordinate purchased materials with the Production Manager to align with the shop schedule. Verify all materials meet project specifications; promptly report any discrepancies. Actively participate in management discussions to enhance operations, suggesting and implementing continuous improvement initiatives aligned with quality standards. Obtain competitive quotes to secure optimal pricing. Requirements: Proficiency in steel shapes, sizes, and grades. Strong mathematical and organizational skills. Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities. Capability to manage multiple tasks, lead initiatives, and operate effectively under tight deadlines. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required; familiarity with Tekla preferred.
