Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Specialist to enhance our procurement operations for an upcoming 12 to 18-month contract. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about supply chain management or purchasing within a manufacturing environment. The selected candidate will be tasked with sourcing materials, processing purchase orders, and collaborating with suppliers to ensure our production lines operate seamlessly.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles.
  • Familiarity with purchasing processes and manufacturing settings.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt within a dynamic team.

Responsibilities
  • Procure raw materials, components, services, and supplies to support manufacturing schedules.
  • Negotiate with vendors to secure optimal pricing and delivery terms.
  • Create and monitor purchase orders using our ERP/MRP system.
  • Liaise with suppliers to confirm pricing, delivery timelines, and address any order-related issues.
  • Assist in evaluating supplier performance regarding quality and timeliness.
  • Maintain precise procurement records, documentation, and reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, production teams, expeditors, and the accounting department to ensure timely material flow.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process enhancements.
  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems to oversee purchasing activities and inventory data.
  • Perform occasional data entry for material lists.
