Looking to take the next step in your procurement career?

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious procurement professional to join one of the world's leading research and innovation organisations. Working within a highly commercial environment, you'll support a diverse range of sourcing and supplier management projects, partnering with stakeholders involved in cutting-edge scientific research, technology and operational activities.

This opportunity is suited to individuals with commercial experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain or a related business function who are looking to broaden their exposure, take on greater responsibility and further develop their procurement career

The Opportunity

You'll work alongside stakeholders across a broad range of functions, helping them to make informed commercial decisions, identify the right suppliers and deliver value from third-party spend.

The role combines strategic sourcing, supplier engagement, market research, contract support and stakeholder management, giving you exposure to the full procurement lifecycle.

No two days are the same. One week you could be researching emerging suppliers and technologies, the next supporting a competitive sourcing exercise or helping stakeholders negotiate improved commercial outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing sourcing projects across a range of spend areas
  • Engaging with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and challenge existing approaches where appropriate
  • Researching supply markets, identifying opportunities and gathering commercial insight
  • Supporting supplier selection, tendering and negotiation activities
  • Building strong relationships with suppliers and internal customers
  • Assessing commercial, operational and supply risks
  • Analysing spend and supplier data to support decision making
  • Helping deliver value, innovation and continuous improvement across the organisation

About You

We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, commercially minded and eager to learn.

You may already be working in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, commercial, sourcing or a related discipline and be looking for a role where you can develop broader commercial responsibility.
