Description

To support continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Procurement / Supply Chain Assistant to join our team in Cumbernauld. This role will provide crucial support to manage supply chain processes ensuring systems and invested stakeholders are kept up to date on stock availability
The ideal candidate is preferred to have previous experience in a supply chain/procurement environment. Show excellent IT, organisational and communication skills while operating and maintaining an ERP database.

The role will be fast paced and diverse, requiring energy, enthusiasm, an eye for detail and the willingness to challenge the status quo. You will be offered training and support to help you fulfil your daily role.

  • Running purchasing MRP for the group identifying shortages, while updating invested stake holders of availability dates.
  • Creating suggested purchase orders for approval, placing purchase orders
  • Build relationships with existing suppliers
  • Checking order confirmations and chasing suppliers for regular updates.
  • Maintaining a priority list of items and orders to monitor and chase in advance
  • Maintaining and running shortage reports and communicate to the wider teams.
  • Creating and monitoring container movements via tracking systems
  • Updating system with expected delivery dates and overseas container numbers
  • Processing and passing invoices for payment / approval
  • Receipting goods in via Navision while investigating discrepancies in deliveries and storing delivery notes digitally
  • Contact suppliers regarding discrepancies and Non-conformance’s
  • Communicating any price changes for approval and review
  • Support and work with Production and Warehouse Mangers on any relevant supply chain matters
  • Provide administrative and analytical support to Supply Chain manager
  • Holiday cover within the department

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Knowledge of ERP systems preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience of database management, maintaining and paying close attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
  • Excellent IT (including Excel and wider office suite)
  • Excellent organisational, time management and communication skills
    The position is a full-time permanent role working 37.5 hours per week
    Office based – G68 0LW
    Free at site parking
    Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4pm,
    Friday 7:30am to 1:00pm
    Salary up to 26K DOE
    30 days holiday increase to 33 after one years’ service
    Regular team and social events
    Shut down over Christmas and New Year
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: Up to £26,000.00 per year
