QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Experience: 3+ years in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management (promotional products, manufacturing, or consumer goods industry experience preferred).
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage and develop a team while working cross-functionally with Sales and Design.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software (Wrike preferred) and advanced Excel for cost modeling and analysis.
  • Negotiation & Communication: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to clearly communicate with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Detail Orientation: Skilled in analyzing costs, tariffs, and logistics for accurate and competitive pricing.
  • Asia Sourcing Knowledge: Familiarity with Chinese factories and international logistics strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of 4–5 procurement specialists, driving efficiency and accuracy in the RFQ process.
  • Partner with Sales to receive, prioritize, and execute customer and sales rep RFQs.
  • Manage projects through our project management system (Wrike) to ensure timelines are met.
  • Collaborate with the Graphic Design team to develop mockups for customer approval.
  • Source and negotiate with Chinese factories and suppliers, balancing quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
  • Evaluate and compare factory quotes, including unit pricing, packaging, and mold/tooling costs.
  • Calculate and analyze shipping costs, recommending the most cost-effective options (DHL, FedEx IE, or ocean freight).
  • Apply HTS codes and tariff rates for accurate landed cost calculations.
  • Deliver detailed, competitive pricing to Sales and customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with international vendors and factories.
  • Oversee select office management responsibilities as needed.
