Description

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement and supply chain operations for assigned product categories. Based on the level of experience, responsibilities will range from execution and analysis to strategy, vendor management, and team leadership. This role requires a high level of data-driven decision-making, accuracy, and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced business environment.Key Responsibilities (based on role level):

  • Manage the procurement process to ensure timely, cost-effective purchasing of assigned product categories.
  • Strategically do Market research and Demand Planning
  • Review and validate purchase orders for accuracy in quantity, pricing, and supplier terms.
  • Liaise with suppliers for on-time deliveries, pricing negotiations, and relationship management.
  • Track supplier performance using KPIs such as delivery timelines, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Determine and maintain optimal reorder levels and stock days based on demand and supplier lead times.
  • Perform stock analysis to ensure product availability while minimizing overstock and wastage.
  • Use forecasting models and sales history to anticipate demand patterns and adjust procurement strategies.
  • Monitor order accuracy, resolve mismatches or delays, and implement corrective actions.
  • Track key supply chain metrics like sell-through rates, wastage, stock turnover, and procurement costs.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, SOPs, and supplier agreements.
  • Develop and present analytical reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and supplier KPIs.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization.
  • (For Lead / AM / Manager roles) Supervise, train, and guide junior staff in procurement and inventory operations.
  • Mandatory industry background: Fresh produce, retail, or e-commerce supply chain.
  • Educational qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • Experience required (based on level):

Executive: 2–4 years
Lead: 4–6 years

AM / Manager: 6–10+ years with team-handling experience preferred

  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills for inventory, demand, and cost management.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Proven problem-solving skills to tackle procurement and supply chain challenges.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
