Description Procurement & Supply Planning Lead • $60,000 to $75,000/Salary • Temp-to-Hire About This Opportunity The Procurement & Supply Planning Lead is responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of raw ingredients and packaging materials to support production needs. This role partners cross-functionally with production, quality, finance, and business development teams to forecast demand, manage supplier relationships, optimize inventory, and improve procurement processes. This position is highly analytical and focused on scalable planning and supplier strategy, with no responsibility for physical shipping or receiving. Bonus Opportunity $350 Attendance Bonus for perfect attendance during the first 30 days Assignment Details Pay: $60,000 to $75,000/ Salary (depending on experience) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM– 5:00 PM Assignment Type: Temp-to-Hire Pre Employment Requirements Client Interview Required Responsibilities Procurement & Supplier Management Develop and execute purchasing strategies for raw ingredients, packaging, and corrugate based on demand forecasts and production schedules (3-, 6-, and 9-month horizons) Manage supplier relationships including lead times,minimum order quantities, pricing, and contingency sourcing for critical materials Partner with finance to generate purchase orders in QuickBooks and ensure timely payment processing Analyze total delivered cost, including freight, to identify cost savings and support margin improvement initiatives Supply & Demand Planning Build and maintain forecasts for ingredients and packaging using historical data, customer orders, and production inputs Support internal and co-manufacturing production planning through proactive material availability management Maintain visibility into open purchase orders and align procurement decisions with forecasted demand Collaborate on yield analysis using production and quality data Inventory Planning & Visibility (Non-Physical) Maintain inventory planning tools for raw materials and packaging, including usage tracking and monthly adjustments Enhance inventory visibility through Excel models and dashboards, with future integration into Power BI Monitor expiration dates, lot traceability, and supplier data to mitigate risk and reduce obsolescence Partner with WMS teams to ensure accurate system inputs and scalable inventory processes Packaging & Production Support Oversee packaging and corrugate planning, including SKU-level tracking and monthly reconciliation Track packaging usage across production runs, including waste, rework, and non-shipped product Coordinate with production leadership to ensure uninterrupted material availability Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with production, quality, finance, business development, and customer teams to align procurement strategies Communicate inventory risks, supply constraints, and forecast changes proactively Support leadership in implementing procurement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives Process Improvement & Strategic Growth Identify and implement improvements in procurement workflows, documentation, and planning tools Drive supplier consolidation efforts and support just-in-time inventory practices to improve cash flow Operate as an independent contributor who identifies issues, develops solutions, and supports long-term company growth Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field preferred 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply planning, or inventory management Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency; experience with Power BI is a plus Experience working with ERP systems, preferably QuickBooks and WMS platforms Proven ability to manage suppliers and optimize costs Strong cross-functional communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment How to Apply Website www.jobsourceusa.com Phone 402-331-4905 Walk-In Interviews Tuesday & Thursday | 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM Office Job Source USA, Inc.• 8406 Park Drive, Omaha, NE 68127 • 1 block south of Q Street on 84th Street Se Habla Español.
