Part-time, Monday - Friday, early morning and afternoon availability and ability to work any time on Saturdays and Sundays $12 - $14/hour, DOE Job Purpose The Produce Clerk at GOOD EARTH MARKETS is responsible for creating an inviting, well-stocked produce department that inspires customers to shop fresh and healthy. The Produce Clerk ensures products are attractively displayed and rotated for freshness while offering friendly, knowledgeable assistance to help customers find what they need and discover new favorites. Key Responsibilities Maintain quality and product assortment standards for shelves, produce coolers, and in-department items such as fruits, vegetables, salads, and grab-and-go products. Execute quality control to ensure the freshness of products in the produce department. Ensure the produce department is cleaned and sanitized daily, meeting company standards. Create and maintain an inviting, full, and shoppable department. Complete daily tasks that include standing for long periods of time, as well as repetitive lifting and bending. Perform light janitorial tasks and/or other duties throughout the store as assigned daily. Provide excellent customer care. We are an E-Verify employer. Qualifications Required Education High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Experience/Skills & Abilities Experience in a retail or grocery environment, particularly in the produce department. Familiarity with quality control standards and procedures for fresh produce. Experience in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in a retail setting. Ability to load equipment with products and clean equipment and surrounding areas for safety and compliance. Capability to create and maintain an inviting, full, and shoppable department. Ability to complete daily tasks involving standing for long periods, as well as repetitive lifting and bending. Physical ability to lift at least 50 pounds. Ability to perform light janitorial tasks and other duties throughout the store as needed. Strong customer care skills.
