JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Produce Manager to oversee the daily operations of our produce department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management, sales, and training development. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage a team effectively while ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality products.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in store management or as an assistant manager in a retail environment, preferably in the produce sector.
• Strong understanding of retail math principles and experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with customers and team members.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• A passion for fresh produce and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
• Previous experience in training development is a plus.

• Manage the overall operations of the produce department, ensuring optimal product presentation and quality.
• Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining stock levels.
• Utilize retail math to analyze sales trends and make informed decisions regarding product placement and promotions.
• Train and develop team members to enhance their skills in customer service, product knowledge, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless store operations and customer satisfaction.
• Implement effective sales management strategies to achieve departmental goals.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the produce area in compliance with health and safety regulations.
