QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Knowledge of grocery store produce, and produce department operations is a must.
  • Management or supervisory experience required.
  • Open and flexible availability to work weekdays and weekends according to the needs of the business. Must be able to work early morning shifts, start time as early as 5am
  • Ability to work with minimal direction
  • Great communication skills and ability to read and write in English.
  • Customer service and detail oriented
  • Able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Able to bend, squat and lift approximately 23kg/50lbs regularly

Responsibilities
  • Maintain product displays and monitor proper product rotation
  • Receive, handle and store product to achieve optimal results
  • Effectively merchandise advertising and promotional programs while ensuring pricing integrity
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, ensuring that personal protective equipment is available, maintained and used by employees
  • Enforce, maintain and support loss prevention policies and procedures
  • Supervise, coordinate and assign work responsibilities to employees
  • Provide and ensure exceptional customer service, resolving customer and employee concerns in a calm, polite and professional manner
  • Ensure that all work-related injuries are reported promptly and reports are completed to comply with WSIB standards
  • Any other duties that may be required to ensure courteous friendly service, competitively priced products, and a store that meets and maintains the standards specified my upper management.
