Description Starting Wage: $19.06/hour Department: Produce Reports To: Produce Location: City Market Locations Union Position UE Local 203: Non-exempt, Grade 5 Summary City Market Co-Op is seeking a Produce Inventory Coordinator who plays a crucial role in supporting the Produce department! This position is responsible for organizing, maintaining, and directing the flow of produce to the sales floor, coordinating merchandising priorities, and actively participating in routine department tasks such as stocking, rotation, cleaning, and quality control. Day-to-Day Duties Organizing, maintaining, and coordinating the flow of produce to the sales floor. Ensuring quality control of all incoming produce, organizing and maintaining backstock, actively communicating observations with the Produce Team, and facilitating the credit procedures. Assisting the department and helping to keep the equipment in working order, including cleaning, organizing shelves, producing displays, rotating stock, and labeling items. Assisting other stockers, customers and staff as needed. Compliance with established City Market procedures regarding operations, sales, & safety. May be required to perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications 18 months of produce, supervisory, receiving, or farming experience OR two years of customer service or retail experience required. High School diploma or GED preferred. Knowledge of natural and conventional foods and the food industry helpful.
