SUMMARY

The Produce Manager will oversee the daily operations of the Produce Department in terms of staffing, sales, customer service, merchandising, and product quality.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous Management or Supervisor experience, preferably in Produce Department
• Food Safe Level 1
• Exceptional Customer service skills
• Ability to communicate & listen
• Strong leadership & organizational skills
• Must be able to work at least 1 weekend day. Shift hours are 8:00 to 4:30.
• Passionate about BC food security and supporting our local farmers.

• Lead & Motivate department team to improve productivity and increase sales
• Source Out new products. Be aware of trends and customer wants
• Be accountable for department financial objectives
• Order & Maintain Inventory
• Train & onboard new produce staff
• Oversee presentation of produce department including quality levels
• Be aware of local produce in season and be competitive in pricing
• Ensure safety in the department and that staff are following company policies
