Description

Lucky Supermarket is seeking a Produce Manager for each of its store locations: North, Chinatown, and South.
The Produce Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the produce department within a grocery store or supermarket. This position requires a strong focus on quality, customer service, and team management to ensure that the produce section meets the highest standards. The Produce Manager will be responsible for managing inventory, maintaining product displays, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences while fostering a collaborative team environment.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in team management within a retail or grocery environment.
  • Strong budgeting skills with experience in managing departmental expenses.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and suppliers.
  • Multilingual or bilingual skills are a plus to enhance customer interactions.
  • Knowledge of market trends related to fresh produce.
  • Experience in cashiering is beneficial for supporting store operations.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on enhancing the shopping experience.
  • Ability to buy quality products while minimizing waste and maximizing freshness.

    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour

  • Implement effective merchandising strategies to promote seasonal items and increase sales.
  • Monitor department budget and expenses while maintaining profitability.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and quality for produce items.
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with inquiries and product selections.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the produce department to comply with health regulations.
  • Prepare payroll for department staff accurately and on time.
