POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a Receiver to join our fast-paced team. Our ideal candidate is a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves kind of person who isn’t afraid to go the extra mile to get the job done.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE

  • Knowledge of produce is an asset.
  • Must have valid Raymond Reach forklift licence.
  • Must have WMS and RF scanner experience.
  • Working knowledge using Outlook and WMS application.
  • 1 – 3 years of experience operating above equipment in a warehouse environment (accident free).
  • Prior experience in a fast paced warehouse preferred.
  • Prior experience in a multi-temperature environment an asset.
  • May be required to work longer than the scheduled work hours.
  • Must be available to work weekends, up to 6 days a week.
  • Has a history of good attendance and adherence to the work schedule.
    Pay Rate: $20.00/hr.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the accuracy and quality all products shipped or received.
  • Offloads product from trucks and provides for rotation on a “first in-first out” basis unless otherwise specified by a supervisor.
  • Inspects all incoming trucks according to company guidelines. (temperature, cleanliness and sanitation).
  • Actively inspects certain percentage of all products based on industry standards to ensure they are free from contaminants, and/or quality defects.
  • Responsible to control any non-conforming product that does not meet customer/internal specifications by placing it on hold physically and in ERP system
  • Properly breaks down skids and sorts accordingly.
  • Create and maintain a detailed and accurate report of inspection results, including taking pictures and communicating inspection results to all appropriate personnel
  • Processes PO’s (purchase orders) in ERP System after receiving physical product.
  • Stages products in cooler, warehouse and on dock to ensure that only quality products are accessible for selection and delivery to customers, and consults with the supervisor, quality control specialist or purchaser when there is a doubt about quality, temperature check in all inbound products.
  • Communicates with supervisor in the event that product has not been stored in the designated area and/or at proper temperature.
  • Notifies supervisor or purchaser when special or non-stock items have been received and stored.
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of our products.
  • Is licensed and operates a forklift, pump truck or an electric pallet jack safely and efficiently.
  • Records all deliveries in log.
  • Other duties relevant to the position will be assigned as required.
