It's our ability to understand people and the things that matter to them that makes us Britain and Ireland's largest commercial news publisher. We reach around 70% of the UK's online population, 10% of the US online population, and over 100 million social followers around the world, connecting with them on who they are, where they live and what they love. About the role Are you a social native with a relentless drive to create content that stops the scroll? We are looking for a high-energy, creative, and experienced Midweight Producer to join our rapidly expanding video team. In this role, you won’t just be making videos; you’ll be shaping the future of our digital slate. Working across a variety of genres, you will help us build a powerhouse of original content for YouTube and social platforms that captures hearts, minds, and most importantly clicks. This is a hybrid role 3 days per week at our Canary Wharf Hub. What You’ll Be Doing As a creative engine for our video team, you will own the entire production lifecycle from the initial spark of an idea to the final edit. You’ll be a key voice in development brainstorms, working alongside senior editorial and commercial teams to pitch and produce everything from studio entertainment shows to long-form documentaries to viral social formats and video podcasts. End-to-End Production: Managing all fundamentals, including scripting, casting, location scouting, producing contributors and talent, and edit producing Creative Pitching: Writing snappy, high-impact pitch decks and confidently presenting new formats and ideas to internal teams and clients Trend & Talent Scouting: Acting as a YouTube native to spot Gen Z creators and emerging social trends that keep our content fresh and relevan Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partnering with videographers, editors, designers, and channel managers to deliver high-quality content on tight deadlines Values-Driven Storytelling: Ensuring diversity and inclusion are baked into your creative process, upholding our commitment to non-discrimination in everything we publish You’ll need the versatility to switch genres effortlessly, ensuring every production whether a human-interest feature or a fast-paced entertainment format is executed with integrity and flair. What You Need to Succeed To succeed in this role, you must be a true social native who possesses a deep, intuitive understanding of YouTube and emerging digital platforms. You’ll come from a video production background from an agency or a TV/ digital/social company. Your success hinges on your ability to be a versatile storyteller, equally comfortable producing high-energy studio entertainment as you are sensitive, human-interest documentaries. You will need to be a prolific "ideas generator" who can translate vision into reality by building snappy, persuasive pitch decks using Google Docs and presenting them with confidence to senior stakeholders. A master of the entire production lifecycle is essential, meaning you are as adept at the logistical fundamentals like casting and shoot set up as you are at scripting and edit producing. Must be comfortable capturing content on your phone but an added bonus if you can shoot on a Canon C70. Some editing experience on Adobe Premiere/ CapCut would be advantageous too. Because this is a fast-paced environment, you must have the resilience to meet tight deadlines without ever compromising the integrity or quality of the final product. Above all, you should be a proactive collaborator who is hungry to make a difference, fueled by an energetic "can-do" attitude and a steadfast commitment to upholding diversity and inclusion in every frame you produce.
