Description

Responsibilities

To produce robust design solutions which are insensitive to variation to address specified requirements.
To collaborate and communicate design solution information with task stakeholders.
To search for, capture, store, and re-use knowledge relating to design activity.
To understand and apply the commodity standards and to create new standards where none exist.
To liaise with manufacturing and supply chain to actively integrate the experience and knowledge from these areas.
To manage work in accordance with project cost, timescale, and quality targets.
Is responsible for planning, project managing and delivering technical packages/investigations in line with programme milestones within agreed cost, timescale and quality requirements.
To actively promote, encourage and support the identification and implementation of continuous improvement (of tools, processes and methods) both within and outside their immediate sphere and prompt action across the wider team.
To support Supplier assessments, qualification and improvement activities.
To define and deliver robust verification, Safety Justification and qualification strategies and their outputs.
To lead the resolution and recovery from emergent issues.
To participate in Design support activities during production, build, maintenance and decommissioning of components.
