The Product Advisor plays a crucial role by assisting customers throughout the vehicle buying process. They greet potential buyers, assess their needs, and provide detailed information on various models, features, and pricing. Staying up-to-date on product knowledge, they offer test drives and guide customers in making informed decisions. Product Advisors handle negotiations on pricing, trade-ins, and financing, ensuring smooth transactions. As the first point of contact, they are essential in creating a positive impression and fostering customer loyalty.

Responsibilities
  • Customer Engagement: Engaging with potential buyers in person, over the phone, or via email. This involves understanding their needs, preferences, and budget constraints. This also includes ensuring customers are informed of the current situation and providing regular updates
  • Product Knowledge: Being well-versed in the features, specifications, and benefits of the vehicles being sold. Customers rely on salespeople to provide accurate information and guidance. Also offers test drives and follows dealership procedures for customer identification. The ideal candidate will also keep updates on the brands vehicle range, specifications, and competitor products
  • Sales Techniques: This may involve demonstrating the vehicle, highlighting its advantages, and addressing any concerns or objections.
  • Negotiation: Negotiating with customers on pricing, financing options, trade-ins, and additional services.
  • Closing Deals: Closing sales by finalizing paperwork and handing off the customers to the business office. Also thoroughly explaining the vehicle features, benefits, and options available for purchase.
  • Follow-Up: Following up with customers after a sale to ensure satisfaction, address any issues, and encourage repeat business and referrals. This also includes having surveys completed to meet company targets
  • Networking and Prospecting: Actively seeking out potential customers through networking events, referrals, and other prospecting methods.
  • Administrative Tasks: Completing administrative tasks such as updating customer records, inputting sales data etc.
  • Continued Education: Staying informed about industry trends, new vehicle models, and changes in financing and sales techniques through ongoing training and professional development.
  • Customer Service: Providing exceptional customer service before, during, and after the sale to build long-term relationships and foster customer loyalty.
  • Maintains a professional appearance at all times
