The opportunity We’re looking for a Product Data Analyst to join our Product team and support product-led decision-making across Pet Circle’s digital experience. You’ll play a hands-on role in producing fast, reliable insights that inform roadmaps, shape feature development, and validate product hypotheses. This role reports to the VP of Product, with a dotted line to our Data & Analytics leadership. You’ll work closely with Product Managers to clarify goals, define success metrics, and shape analysis around product requirements. You’ll also collaborate with fellow Data Analysts to share knowledge, ensure consistency in approach, and align on technical best practices. It’s ideal for someone who’s confident with SQL and Looker, passionate about data accessibility, and motivated by helping others make smarter decisions, faster. What you’ll be doing Write performant, accurate SQL queries against our governed business data layer in BigQuery Build and maintain insightful dashboards in Looker - no LookML development required Collaborate with product squads to define success metrics, design experiments, and monitor outcomes Respond quickly to ad hoc data questions and business hypotheses using existing Looker Explores Conduct deeper, trend-focused analysis to identify drivers of product performance and user behavior Use product analytics tools such as FullStory, Google Analytics, or similar to understand user journeys, identify friction points, and validate hypotheses through qualitative insights Use tools like Looker Studio when needed Collaborate with Analytics Engineers to improve the data model and debug pipeline issues, and partner with Data Science for advanced analytics when required The ideal toolbox 3+ years of experience in a data analyst or product analytics role Advanced SQL skills; confident writing, validating, and troubleshooting queries Proficient in Looker (dashboards, Explores, visual best practices) Comfortable working within a governed data environment - no need for raw data access or local dev tools Business-oriented mindset - able to translate product questions into analytical approaches and actionable outputs Experience working with product analytics or session replay tools (e.g. FullStory, GA4, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Hotjar, etc.) Self-aware and independent - knows when to ask for help and how to find answers Bonus: familiarity with LookML structures and tools like Looker Studio Role location We believe that building connections and collaborating as Pet Circlers is super important.
