Design & Govern Foundational Instrumentation: Partner hand-in-hand with Product Managers, Engineers, and SPEs to design and author our core event data contracts in a version-controlled repository, establishing a durable, repeatable practice for shipping high-quality data. Architect a Scalable Data Platform: Partner with engineering leads to define the technical architecture and roadmap for our analytics platform. This includes the contract repository, CI/CD validation, and the implementation of dbt as our core transformation layer. You will set the vision and standards for our engineering partners to execute against. Build the Source of Truth: Your work will create the clean, reliable data marts that the entire organization will depend on to make critical business decisions. Enable Strategic Insight: By building foundational dashboards and reliable data sets, you will provide the necessary first step that unlocks our ability to move from baseline reporting to deep, predictive analysis and experimentation. Drive a Culture of Data Confidence: You will be a key agent of change, building the tools, processes, and standardized reporting assets that increase data literacy and confidence across Product and Engineering. Create Your Legacy: You will be a foundational member of the team that defined and built the modern analytics stack for one of the world's most iconic companies. Established and active employee resource groups Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field required 6+ years of experience in an analytics engineering, data engineering, or technical business intelligence role. Expert-level SQL skills for complex data transformation and optimization. Deep expertise in data modeling principles and a strong vision for implementing best practices with dbt. Deep experience with a cloud data warehouse like GCP BigQuery, Snowflake, or Databricks. Proven experience designing and implementing event-based analytics instrumentation for digital products. Strong proficiency with at least one major data visualization tool (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI). Proficiency with the modern data engineering toolkit, including Git for version control and YAML for defining data contracts. A true builder's mindset. You are a pragmatic problem-solver who is comfortable with ambiguity and thrives on the challenge of creating order out of chaos and building systems designed to last. Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field like Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics Proven experience in technical program management, with a demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept to completion. Experience with behavioral analytics platforms like Amplitude, Mixpanel, and Tableau. Experience with data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Dagster, Prefect). Experience working as an embedded member of a product development team using Agile/Scrum methodologies. Working knowledge of a scripting language like Python for automation or data analysis.
