High Level Statement of the Role: The Product Assembler Worker is responsible for assembling products to specifications. Roles and Responsibilities: * Assemble product per Shop Order Release (SOR), Operational Method Sheet (OMS) or schedules using appropriate gauges, screws, glues, staples, hardware and tools. * Inspect for obvious damage, color consistency and alignment or any other material specifications and inspect parts for compliance to any other quality or workmanship standards. * Document necessary information. * Keep work space and equipment clean and well organized. * Perform proper preventive maintenance as required on any equipment being used. * Follow all safety guidelines and uses required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). * Identify nonconformities and follow nonconforming product procedures and be aware of disposition authority. * Implement process improvements. * Support the Vision and Guiding Principles and other policies of Kimball International and National Office Furniture. * Follow and support the Quality system. * Performs job rotation as directed. * Support our Environmental Management System (EMS). * * Interpersonal Skills * Ability to learn and adapt to new situations quickly. * Able to interact with diverse groups of people. * Must have a positive attitude. * Highly motivated and able to work independently or as a team. * Flexible with work schedules. * preferred one year manufacturing/assembly experience Technical Skills * Able to effectively use problem solving skills. * Meet the physical demands of the job, especially lifting. * Understand the effects of the material used on finished surfaces. * Maintain inventory accuracy. Communication Skills * Good verbal/written communication skills. * Work in a team environment. * Able to verify paperwork and tickets. Qualifications Manufacturing experience preferred within the last 5 years of employment.
