What’s On Offer An opportunity to work in a product role within a motivated team that represents the Investment Products business within ASX. This role will assist a small team that is accountable for setting and leading the strategy, performance and long‑term sustainability of ASX’s Investment Products platform and commercial ecosystem. The team provides market insights across the commercial, platform and operating settings that support Investment Products listed by issuers on ASX, ensuring outcomes are fair, resilient, regulator‑confident and commercially sustainable. The team plays a critical role by guiding and influencing policy, regulatory and market structure settings in collaboration with ASX Policy, Compliance, Legal and the regulator, while driving growth through disciplined Investment Product platform evolution, industry engagement and effective use of commercial levers. What you’ll do: Support the team in managing, developing and improving the Investment Products operating and commercial model, including listing and admission frameworks, platform capabilities, commercial structures and post‑admission services that support issuers and market participants. This includes contributing to the commercial performance of the Investment Products platform, including growth, profitability and sustainability of revenues linked to listings and secondary market activity. Represent ASX as the operator and steward of the Investment Products marketplace, engaging constructively with issuers, asset managers, market participants and regulators. Engage with prospective and existing fund managers and their service providers (including responsible entities, lawyers, market makers and unit registries) regarding the admission of novel Investment Products (ETFs, Structured Products and Listed Investment Vehicles (i.e. LICs and LITs)) to ASX. Preparation of periodic and ad hoc reports and presentations that highlight the ASX Investment Products business. Assist the investment product admissions team within ASX Compliance in the assessment of individual Investment Products as requested. Assist in the development of new admissions policy for Investment Products including drafting, editing and reviewing ASX guidance, market communications and consultation responses. Support the broader Product team to manage ASX’s market maker incentive scheme and aiding in the development of the incentive scheme, ensuring it is fit-for-purpose. Record keeping and data collection within the Investment Products business. Identify and analyse trends in the Investment Products business. Support the marketing efforts and educational content for new products across digital and other channels. Track new Investment Product opportunities. Attend industry conferences on ASX’s behalf. What you’ve done: 2-5 years financial services industry experience within capital markets and/or investment products. Strong technical skills in data analysis and presentation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Completed a Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics or other relevant discipline. Experience with ASX Operating & Listing Rules And if you’ve got some of this, even better: Broad ranging knowledge of the operation of financial markets including types of Investment Products, their application to portfolio construction & asset allocation, a working knowledge of the ASX Operating Rules. Experience with ETFs in either a product management or operational support function. Experience engaging with product issuers and/or capital markets participants. Awareness of policy issues that have an impact on current and future performance of financial products available on ASX. Experience with financial data systems including Bloomberg, IRESS, Morningstar. Strong presentation, communication and people skills. Experience with capital markets transactions and modelling.
