JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an experienced Product Business Development Consultant (6 month contract) to help us drive Sectigo’s growth by identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and expanding our market presence through M&A. This person will work business stakeholders to find new business opportunities and develop strategies to pursue those opportunities. We are looking for an individual with a proven track record in business development and a deep understanding of market dynamics
This is a 40-hour/week contract role for at least 6 months to start. The ideal candidate should be based in Canada OR the U.S.

Here are the core functions, responsibilities, and expectations for this role:

  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, market needs, and key opportunities.
  • Identifying and evaluating new business opportunities for revenue generation and market expansion.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with strategic partners, and stakeholders to enhance business opportunities.
  • Collaborating with internal teams, including marketing, sales, and product management, to align strategies and achieve business goals.
  • Negotiating and closing deals with potential strategic partners, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
  • Monitoring and reporting on business development activities, performance metrics, and key outcomes to senior management.
  • Other duties as assigned and related to the nature of this role and company initiatives.

EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of business development experience with cybersecurity solutions.
  • Current and/or prior working experience in identity, risk, or key management is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrable experience as a business development manager.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute strategic plans.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILES, TALENTS, AND DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related field.
  • Relevant certification in Business Development or related field.
  • Extensive business experience, especially in creating action plans and strategies
  • Understanding of contracts and negotiation skills
  • Strong background in B2B SaaS and security software industries.
  • Strategic thinker with a revenue-driven mindset and a track record of driving measurable business outcomes.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and persuade senior stakeholders.
