MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Product Category Head – RP is responsible for driving the strategy, development, and performance of the Regular Pay product line. The role ensures alignment with customer needs, regulatory requirements, and business objectives while delivering profitable growth and strengthening the company’s market position. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Strategy & Business Planning · Define and implement the overall product strategy for Regular Pay · Conduct market analysis to identify trends, customer insights, and competitive positioning. · Develop short and long term plans to achieve sales, revenue, and profitability targets. Product Management · Lead the design, pricing, and launch of new RP products. · Manage the product lifecycle from ideation to sunset, ensuring relevance and competitiveness. · Ensure all product lifecycle from ideation to phase out, ensuring relevance and competitiveness. · Ensure all products comply with regulatory standards and internal governance. · Work with actuarial, risk and compliance teams for product approvals. Sales and Marketing Support · Partner with Distribution teams to drive product penetration and adoption. · Develop product value propositions and marketing strategies in coordination with Brand and Communications. · Provide training tools, and sales enablers to equip the sales force. Performance Management · Track product performance, portfolio mix, and profitability. · Recommend product enhancements, pricing adjustments, or repositioning as needed. · Regularly report category performance to senior management. Stakeholder Management · Collaborate cross-functionally with Distribution, Finance, Operations and T&T to ensure seamless product delivery. · Engage external partners, reinsurers and regulators as needed. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: · Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field. · Minimum 8 – 10 years of experience in product management, preferably in insurance, banking, or financial services. · Strong knowledge of savings, investment-linked and protection products. · Proven track record in product development and category management. · Experience in leading a cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders.
