Product Certification Coordinator   Work Specifications – Responsibilities: Leadership of the Steuben Foods’ certification program (e.g., kosher, organic, non-GMO): * Work with customers to obtain labeled certifications * Identify obstacles to certification and points of noncompliance, extending to recommendation of alternatives and connection with suppliers * Collaborate with Packaging Engineer to ensure synergy between package design, labeled certification, and actual formula * Interface with certifying agency on filings and audits including corrective measures * Maintain organized, accessible files * Organic certification annual inspection audit preparation for multiple customers, lead audit and manage Steuben organic program in independent and organized manner.  * Non-GMO and all other certifications (Gluten-Free, Vegan, Whole Grains, Kosher, Halal, USDA-AMS, NSF for sport and other certifications that may be required for customer marketing and sales purposes).  Annual inspection audit preparation for multiple customers, lead audit and manage Steuben non-GMO program in independent and organized manner.  * Consumer complaint handling for all customers, including Elmhurst Brand.  Investigations are performed on-time, thoroughly and in professional manner. * Assist with new customer product start-up GMP and Food Safety surveys – Leads these in timely manner as we secure more co-man customers. * Provide certificates for customer exports through self-initiative and motivation to learn how to secure these certificates on-line, interacting with many regulatory bodies. * Review of supplier technical and packaging documentation (label review) to ensure that all certification claims are in order prior to printing new packaging, including for new and existing EM/GF branded products. * Other duties as assigned. Education/Prerequisite Requirements: * Associate degree – in relevant field preferred (e.g. quality, food regulations) * 3+ years of experience in project coordination, production or quality assurance – preferably in the food industry Equipment/Training Knowledge: * Written and verbal communication – including facilitation and maintenance of healthy channels between different agents and groups * High standard of organization * Technical competence to use and, as necessary, learn: * Microsoft Excel * Logistical software (e.g., Protean) * Reporting/presentation software * Ability to manage multiple activities and set priorities daily * Diligence with attention to detail * Strong organizational skills * Identification and application of resources * Technical knowledge including regulations, ingredients, and formulas * Capacity to evaluate data, identify trends, and channel learnings to drive improvement Schedule: Monday through Friday, weekends as needed   Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000   Steuben Foods is committed to equal employment opportunity.
