Job Description Purpose of the role: Engage stakeholders to execute IKEA's quality agenda, fostering product requirement competencies and supporting new requirements for implementation. Assignment Coach & support business teams in evaluating potential new suppliers, material, and products, to mitigate risks connected to product safety and chemical/microbiological requirements with right from the beginning approach Lead & facilitate trainings and workshops for business teams and business partners (e.g. Connect Responsible/Chemical Navigators) to develop competence about IKEA product requirements (IKEA specifications, testing, IT-tools) Support business teams and business partners in production process chemical assessment of the safety of chemical substances and processes to ensure safe operation Perform Spot-checks in the framework of the Purchasing Manual working method on “Gate Check Before First Delivery” to verify fulfilment of IKEA requirements Lead IKEA product compliance verification process on the running range including follow-up of the supplier’s performance together with the business team and settle focus areas for low performing suppliers Enable IKEA Chemical Direction and IKEA Food Safety program implementation within Supply Area, including supporting IWAY in selected globally agreed chemical-related production Perform mapping of critical chemical substances/materials and processes including risk assessment. Conduct XRF screening tests on high-risk materials focusing on low performing suppliers Support Global Product Requirement Review work as e.g. 4-eye reviewer role Contribute to development of new & updated IOS specifications and other product requirements. Contribute to development of working methods and tools for IKEA product requirements’ fulfilment on global level Provide support for GO/NOGO auditor in Connect related parts during production unit assessment Perform troubleshooting being a Supply Area risk member in case of safety alarm Qualifications University degree or equivalent experience in electronics along with familiarity in related fields such as textiles and metals, or vice versa - a strong foundation in textiles and metals supplemented by electronics knowledge Strong business sense and solid business background, with working experience in both sourcing offices and brand companies. Preferably with technical background and considerable experience working with quality and product compliance Has expertise in consumer product health and safety legislation, with a solid understanding of global markets Proven experience in leading projects with strong leadership and stakeholders' management skills Excellent communication skills, can engage co-workers, business teams and suppliers in an inspiring and straightforward way Quick learner, able to adapt to new topics and industry trends easily Good knowledge of English language, both written and spoken Preferably with expertise in AI tools
