In this role, you’ll ensure that product data is accurate, consistent, and optimized to enhance discoverability and user experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams — including category, merchandising, and technology — to streamline catalog operations, establish data standards, and improve system efficiency through automation and analytics. Key Responsibilities Product Data Management & Quality Assurance Oversee the complete lifecycle of product data — from creation and enrichment to publication and retirement. Establish and maintain data governance frameworks ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness of all product attributes, images, and metadata. Conduct periodic data audits to identify gaps, errors, or duplications and implement corrective measures. Drive automation and workflow optimization for catalog operations to reduce manual dependencies. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Coordination Partner with category and merchandising teams to define and maintain product taxonomies, attributes, and classifications. Liaise with vendors, brand teams, and technical partners to ensure timely and compliant product onboarding. Coordinate with the tech team to integrate data feeds and API connections for seamless system interoperability. Optimization & Analytics Leverage analytics to monitor catalog performance, identify patterns, and recommend improvements to product presentation and visibility. Optimize listings using SEO best practices to increase search ranking and conversion rates. Develop dashboards and performance reports to track catalog health and operational efficiency. Process Development & Leadership Create, document, and enforce catalog management SOPs and data handling protocols. Lead and mentor cataloging or data-entry teams, fostering accountability and continuous improvement. Identify opportunities for process automation and implement scalable catalog solutions across regions or business units. What Makes You a Great Fit 5+ years of experience in product data management, catalog operations, or merchandising analytics within e-commerce, retail, or technology-led organizations. Strong understanding of product taxonomy, data governance, and metadata management. Proficiency in catalog management platforms, PIM (Product Information Management) systems, and bulk upload tools. Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven decision-making approach. Working knowledge of SEO principles and their application to digital product listings. Excellent project management, stakeholder communication, and documentation skills. Experience collaborating with technical teams on automation, integrations, and data validation processes. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
